Russ Fulcher is a fourth generation resident of Idaho. After graduating from the University of Idaho, he started his own business, Miles/Fulcher Creative Group. He and his wife own a small cow-calf operation in Meridian. He helped start a K-12 charter school, served on the Meridian City Council, and he co-founded the Meridian Mayor's Race to promote youth fitness. Fulcher ran for Idaho's First Congressional District in 2014 and 2018, but was unsuccessful. In 2019, he announced he would again run for the seat being vacated by retiring Rep. Raúl Labrador. Fulcher won the Republican primary and defeated Democrat Cristina McNeil in the general election. He took office on January 3, 2019.read less
