Roger B. Bruce was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from Southern University and A&M College with a bachelor's degree in political science. After college, Bruce worked for the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board and then founded his own real estate company. Bruce was first elected to represent District 61 in the Louisiana House of Representatives in 2015. During his time in the legislature, he has served on the House Education, Transportation, and Ways and Means committees. Outside the legislature, Bruce has been involved with community organizations like Crime Stoppers and the Baton Rouge chapter of 100 Black Men of America.read less
