Rodney Lyons is from Texas. He received his B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from Texas A&M University in 1989, and worked for 15 years in the field of mathematics and engineering analysis. In 2004, he transitioned from engineering analysis to software engineering, and has worked as a senior software developer and architect since that time. His work has included building complex software systems for a variety of industries. Lyons is not affiliated with any political parties, and aims to bring practicality, rational analysis, and diversity of thought to public office. He believes ideological entrenchment causes dysfunctional governance, and wants to help remedy that.read less
