Rodney D. Montoya was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated New Mexico State University in 1996. Rodney served in the United States Marines before entering politics. He was elected in 2018 as a Republican for the New Mexico State House representing District 10. Montoya is an enrolled member of the Pueblo of Santa Ana tribe.
