Robert A. Peterson was born and raised in Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating in 1975 with a degree in business administration. After college, Peterson worked in the banking and finance industry. He eventually started his own small business selling agricultural equipment. In 2010, Peterson decided to run for Wisconsin's 5th congressional district. His platform focused on supporting small businesses, reducing taxes and regulations, and opposing government overreach. Though unsuccessful in his first bid, Peterson continues advocating for conservative policies and hopes to seek elected office again in the future.read less
