Reuben Tarver is the Republican candidate seeking election to the Georgia State Senate District 17 seat, representing DeKalb, Henry, and Rockdale counties. He earned a BBA in Economics and an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University. Tarver is a business consultant who has served as the Director of International Trade and Customer Solutions at the Georgia Department of Economic Development. He was also the chair of both the Cobb Republican Party and GOP 10th Congressional District Committee. If elected, some of Tarver's top priorities include promoting policies for strong economic growth, improving infrastructure, reforming the education system, and enhancing public safety.
