Ralph E. Hise is currently serving his fourth term representing District 47 in the North Carolina State Senate. Senator Hise is a graduate of Appalachian State University where he earned a degree in Manufacturing Systems. Prior to his legislative career, Ralph owned a small IT consulting business and served for eleven years as an IT Manager for Tyson Foods. Senator Hise serves as Co-Chair of both the Senate Appropriations Committee on Health and Human Services, as well as the Senate Redistricting Committee. He is also a member of the Senate committees on pensions and retirement, insurance, agriculture and budget.read less
