Philip Y. Ting serves in the California State Assembly, representing District 19. He was first elected to the chamber in 2012. His current term ends in 2024. Ting earned his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and his Master of Business Administration degree from San Francisco State University. Prior to his election to the legislature, Ting worked as the executive director of the Asian Law Caucus. He also worked at the Health and Human Resources Agency under former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown (D) and founded Reset San Francisco, an effort focused on reforming city government.read less
