Peri Pourier is a Democratic member of the South Dakota State Senate, representing District 27. She was first elected to the chamber in 2016. Pourier earned her B.S. in education from Black Hills State University. Her professional experience includes working as a teacher for Oglala Lakota Schools and as a program coordinator for the Oglala Lakota Nation Education Coalition. She has served on the boards of the Red Cloud Indian School and the Children's Home Society.read less
