Percy W. Watson graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He later received his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. After law school, Watson worked at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and corporate governance matters. He then joined Compass Lexecon where he provided economic analysis and expert testimony in antitrust litigation matters in telecommunications, software, health care, consumer products, energy, and manufacturing. Watson next worked as an investment banker at Greenhill & Co., Inc. He advised clients on mergers, acquisitions, and financing transactions across a range of industries before being appointed commissioner of the New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics in 2021.read less
