Paul F. Friel is the Democratic nominee running for Rhode Island State Senate District 35. He is a former school teacher and administrator in Rhode Island. Friel has worked as a social worker and helped organize relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina. He served on the Exeter Town Council from 2006 to 2010. Friel is running on a platform of fully funding education, protecting reproductive rights, addressing climate change, and reforming the tax code to make it more equitable.read less
