Mike Thompson was born in St. Helena, California on January 24, 1951. He served as an aide to then-state Senator Milton Marks until 1976 when he won election to the California State Senate. Thompson was elected to the US House in 1998, where he serves on the House Ways and Means Committee. He lives in St. Helena with his wife Janet. They have two sons.read less
