Mike Redondo is a political newcomer to elected office in New Mexico. He was born and raised in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. After high school, Redondo joined the U.S. Army. He served as an infantry soldier in the Vietnam War from 1966-1968. After returning from Vietnam, Redondo started a career in mining and construction. He worked for several small mining and construction companies in New Mexico over the next 30 years before retiring. In retirement, Redondo became active in veterans affairs in his community. He served on the board of his local VFW post. He also volunteers to help local veterans in need.read less
