Michael Stephen Yin is running for Texas State Senate District 6. Yin was born on October 3, 1961 in Taipei, Taiwan. He immigrated to the United States in 1974 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1984. Yin received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University in 1983. He went on to earn his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1985 and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 1988, both from the University of Notre Dame.read less
