Michael Irving Moffett was born and raised in Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in economics. After college, Michael began a career in finance working for various companies in Des Moines. He advanced to management positions overseeing lending operations. In 2010, Michael decided to run for public office, motivated by a desire to serve his community. He ran unsuccessfully for state legislature as a Republican. Though he lost that election, Michael continues to be active in local politics.read less
