Micaela Lara Cadena grew up working in her family's small business. She put herself through college with scholarships, loans and part-time jobs. After earning a law degree, she provided free legal services to domestic violence survivors. Cadena served as Young Democrats of NM President and founded the Young Women United organization. She was appointed by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham to lead the NM Council for Community Foundations.read less
