Matthea Elisabeth Larsen Daughtry is running as a Republican candidate for the North Carolina House of Representatives District 36. Ms. Daughtry was born in Salisbury, North Carolina. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Journalism and Political Science. Ms. Daughtry has worked as a grassroots community organizer. She served two terms on her local school board. She has also worked to reform education policy and develop young leaders statewide. Ms. Daughtry lives with her husband and two daughters in Greensboro, North Carolina.
