Marlon E. Kimpson was born on August 31, 1965. He earned his B.A. degree in Political Science in 1987 and his J.D. Law degree in 1991 from the University of South Carolina. Kimpson practiced law for over 20 years. He served three terms in the South Carolina House of Representatives, chaired the Charleston Legislative Delegation, and was a former member of Charleston City Council. In 2016, Kimpson won the District 42 Senate seat.read less
