Mark E. Amodei was born on June 12, 1958, in Carson City, Nevada. He received a B.A. degree in history in 1980 from the University of Nevada. In 1983, he received a J.D. degree from the University of Pacific's McGeorge School of Law. Amodei served as a member of the Nevada Republican State Central Committee from 1999 to 2004 and was the Nevada State Chairman for the Bush-Cheney campaign in 2004. He was also Nevada Chairman for Rudy Giuliani's presidential bid in 2008.read less
