Mandi L. Ballinger is currently serving her second term on city council in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Prior to running for office, she served in the North Carolina National Guard and U.S. Army. Ballinger is a graduate of Methodist University and Texas A&M University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in government and politics at the University of Maryland. Her research focuses on U.S. national security. She is also the CEO of a nonprofit that fights poverty in Cumberland County.read less
