Louis C. Schmitt is running for State Senate in District 33. Schmitt was born on January 1, 1950 in Webster Groves, Missouri. He received his bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1972. Schmitt served in the Missouri House from 2011-2019. He currently works as a consultant. Schmitt is involved with a number of civic organizations including the Webster Groves Historical Society and the Webster Groves Lions Club. He also serves on the board of Epworth Children & Family Services. Schmitt's priorities if elected include fully funding public education, improving infrastructure, and creating more high-paying jobs. He supports protecting individual liberties, reducing government regulation of small businesses, and opposition to tax increases without the vote of the people.read less
