Lisa Borowski is a former Republican member of the Kansas State Senate, representing District 3 from 2013 to 2017. She previously served in the Kansas House of Representatives from 2011 to 2013. Borowski focused on jobs, economic issues and tax relief. She voted for income tax cuts and tax credits aimed at attracting business. She also voted for bills to cut unemployment benefits and opposed Medicaid expansion in Kansas. Borowski lost her 2016 reelection bid to Democrat Tom Holland. Prior to her time in office, Borowski worked as a real estate agent. She earned her B.S. in marketing from Kansas State University.read less
