Leonidas P. Raptakis was born in Rhode Island. He graduated from Narragansett High School. He attended the University of Rhode Island, graduating in 1967. He earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk Law School in 1971. Raptakis owned and operated the Washington Fruit Company. He served in Vietnam. He later worked for the Providence School Department. He has experience as a lawyer and businessman.read less
