Kenneth D. Chestek was elected to the Court of Appeals in November 2012. Prior to taking the bench, Justice Chestek served as a professor at Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis, teaching Appellate Advocacy, Legal Analysis & Persuasion. Justice Chestek also worked in private practice for 25 years doing a mix of civil litigation, appellate work, and legal writing consulting. He also served as a law clerk to Judge Robert D. Rucker of the Indiana Court of Appeals. Justice Chestek received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1979.read less
