Kelly A. Ayotte was New Hampshire's first female Attorney General. She served from 2004 to 2009. Prior to serving as Attorney General, Ayotte served as Deputy Attorney General and Chief of the Homicide Prosecution Unit. Ayotte earned her undergraduate and law degrees from Pennsylvania State University and Villanova University School of Law. She went into private practice in Nashua, New Hampshire before working her way up to Attorney General. Ayotte lives in Nashua with her husband Joe Daley.
