Kayla Ann Young is running for Missouri House of Representatives District 20. She was born in Salem, Missouri and graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in communications. Young has been active in the community serving on local nonprofit boards supporting veterans, abused children, hunger relief and health care for uninsured residents. She also volunteers regularly at her church. If elected, Young says she will focus on fully funding public education, improving infrastructure through better fiscal management and bringing more good-paying jobs to the district. She believes her communication skills and community involvement have prepared her well to serve in the state legislature.read less
