Kathy Szeliga was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2010. She represents District 7 which covers parts of Baltimore and Harford Counties. Previously she worked at Verizon as a project manager. In the legislature, Delegate Szeliga has been a member of the Appropriations Committee and its Public Safety & Administration Subcommittee, the Education Subcommittee, the Spending Affordability Committee, and the Joint Committee on Children, Youth, and Families. Some of the legislation she has sponsored includes bills to increase penalties for repeat drunk drivers, improve services for autistic children, and help victims of human trafficking.read less
