Kathy Frelich is a native of Michigan. She is a mathematics teacher at Newaygo High School. Kathy has lived in Coastal West Michigan for the past 22 years with her husband of 25 years, David Frelich. They have a daughter who is attending Michigan State University. Since 2013, Kathy has served on the Board of Commissioners for Newaygo County. In her role as commissioner, she prioritizes fiscal responsibility and views county budgets through the lens of a math teacher - line by line to best utilize taxpayer dollars efficiently and effectively. Kathy is focused on roads, infrastructure, public safety, and improved access to healthcare and high-speed internet for rural communities. She aims to apply common sense leadership in order to enhance residents’ quality of life.read less
