Katherine Ann Klausmeier was born on August 2, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland. She earned her B.S. in Elementary Education at Towson University in 1969. Klausmeier was a teacher in Baltimore County Public Schools from 1969 to 2006. She served on the House of Delegates from 2003 to 2007. In 2007, she won a special election for Maryland State Senate District 8. Klausmeier was re-elected in 2010 and 2014.read less
