Kannan Srinivasan was born on August 17th, 1986 in Chennai, India and immigrated to the United States in 1992. He graduated from the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in 2004. Later, Srinivasan graduated from Harvard University with an undergraduate degree in computational biology and public policy. He then earned his juris doctor degree from Columbia Law School. In 2010, Srinivasan returned to Chicago to work as a commercial litigator at Kirkland & Ellis. In 2014, Srinivasan took a leave of absence to serve as a public health volunteer during the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone. He later worked as a pro bono attorney for Syrian refugees in Greece.read less
