Julie Frye Mueller grew up on a farm in southwest Iowa. Her family has called this community home for generations. After earning a degree from Iowa State University, Julie taught high school science and agriculture classes for nearly 20 years. In 2016, Julie took an early retirement from teaching to operate the family farm full-time after the passing of her husband. She has firsthand experience with the challenges family farms face, like low commodity prices, high input costs, and finding labor. Julie is running for Congress to be a strong voice for agriculture and rural America.read less
