Joseph Gullett was born and raised in South Carolina. He graduated from the Citadel with a degree in political science. After college, Gullett served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a combat engineer officer. He was honorably discharged as a captain in 2008 after tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. After the military, Gullett started a successful small business while earning his MBA at night from the University of South Carolina. His company focused on community infrastructure projects. Gullett now works in commercial real estate services. He lives in Rock Hill with his wife and two children.read less
