John Steven Tyson was born in Birmingham, AL in 1963. He received his J.D. from the Birmingham School of Law, his M.Div. from Beeson Divinity School, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Public Policy. Tyson was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in 2002 and currently serves on the Judiciary, Children and Senior Advocacy, Jefferson County Legislation, and Rules committees. He is Chairman of the Jefferson County Legislation Committee and Vice Chairman of the Judiciary Committee.read less
