John Schickel graduated from Boone County High School in 1976. He attended the University of Kentucky where he received a B.B.A. in finance in 1981 and a J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 1985. Schickel is an attorney. He also serves as a Senator for Kentucky's 11th district.
