John Forbes is a Republican member of the Colorado State House, representing District 12. Forbes was elected to his first two-year term in 2016. He graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor's degree in economics. Prior to his election, Forbes worked as a ranch manager. Forbes serves on the House Agriculture, Livestock, & Natural Resources Committee, the House Appropriations Committee, and the House Transportation & Energy Committee. Some of Forbes' objectives include cutting government spending, repealing Common Core education standards, protecting second amendment rights, and opposing tax increases on small businesses and working families.read less
