John A. Schlegel is currently the President of Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He previously served as Dean of two law schools - Creighton University School of Law and University of San Francisco School of Law. Schlegel earned his bachelor's degree from Creighton University in 1969 and his law degree from University of Michigan Law School in 1972. He served on active duty in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General's Department until 1974. Schlegel has received numerous honors and awards throughout his career in academia and law. He has also authored over 20 publications on various legal topics. Schlegel became the President of Creighton University in July 2000.read less
