John A. Faircloth was born and raised in Clinton, North Carolina. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1970. Prior to his election to the North Carolina House, Faircloth worked as an insurance agent. He served on several local boards and commissions including the Sampson County Economic Development Commission, the County Planning Board, the County Board of Health, and the County Board of Social Services.read less
