Jeffrey Carter Elmore was born in South Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston. Jeffrey then served in the Peace Corps for two years in Kazakhstan. After returning from the Peace Corps, Jeffrey received his JD from the University of South Carolina. He worked at the Richland County Public Defender's Office prosecuting criminal domestic violence cases. Jeffrey also taught middle school social studies and coached basketball in Columbia.read less
