Jefferson S. Burton was born January 10, 1956 and raised in Utah. He attended Brigham Young University where he earned a B.A. in communications and the University of Utah where he earned his J.D. He practiced law for thirty years. In 2015, Burton won a special election to the Utah State House. He served on the House Judiciary Committee and was elected Assistant Majority Whip. In 2018, he successfully ran for the Utah State Senate representing District 26. He serves on several committees including the Senate Rules Committee.read less
