Jason A. Monks is from Bristow, Oklahoma. He earned his B.A. in Letters at the University of Oklahoma in 1998. Monks was a Legislative Assistant for the Oklahoma State Senate from 1998-2006. He won election to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2006. Monks went on to win re-election numerous times before announcing that he would not seek re-election in 2018.
