James Runestad is a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives, representing District 44. He was first elected in November 2014. Runestad is vice chair of the House Judiciary Committee and also serves on the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules and the Michigan Capitol Committee. Prior to his election, Runestad worked as an attorney at his own practice. He received his J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law and his B.B.A. from Western Michigan University.read less
