James E. Thorne was elected to represent Iowa House District 24 in 2018. He earned his Associates degree in Diesel Mechanics from Iowa Central Community College. Thorne has worked as a technician and service manager. He was appointed to the County Veteran Affairs Commission in 1991. Thorne served in the Iowa National Guard from 1980 to 1986.
