James C. Rosapepe is currently serving his third term in the Maryland State Senate, representing Maryland's 21st legislative district. He previously served as US Ambassador to Romania. Prior to being elected to the state senate, Senator Rosapepe served as a member of the University of Maryland Board of Regents and the Prince George's County Board of Education. He earned a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and a PhD from Harvard University. While serving as ambassador, Rosapepe worked to strengthen US-Romanian relations and promote democratization and free enterprise. He served as ambassador from 1998 to 2001.read less
