James A. Barton is a former Republican member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 23 from 2013 to 2019. Rep. Barton was born in Carthage, Missouri on April 9, 1971. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from Missouri Southern State College in 1993. Prior to his election to the Missouri House, Rep. Barton worked as Field Director for Roy Blunt’s 2010 U.S. Senate campaign. He has also worked as District Director for U.S. Rep. Billy Long, as Projects Administrator for The Law Firm of Blanchard, Robertson, Mitchell & Carter, P.C., and as a Loan Officer for Eagle Bank and Trust Co.read less
