Jackie Addison is from Jacksonville, Florida. She earned her Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Florida in 2009. After graduation, Ms. Addison worked in retail management and customer service roles before deciding to run for office. Ms. Addison first ran for Florida House District 12 in 2018. She lost the Democratic primary to incumbent Representative James Smith who went on to win the general election. This year, with Representative Smith retiring, Ms. Addison is running again for the District 12 seat. Her platform focuses on education, jobs, healthcare and the environment.read less
