Ileana Garcia was born on April 18, 1982 in Miami, Florida. She earned her B.A. in Political Science and Certification in Secondary Social Studies Education from Florida International University in 2005. Garcia was ahigh school social studies teacher. She was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2012. Garcia has served on the Education Committee, PreK-12 Quality Subcommittee, Education Appropriations Subcommittee, Redistricting Committee, and Joint Legislative Auditing Committee.read less
