Henry Cuellar is the U.S. Representative for Texas's 28th congressional district, serving since 2005. Cuellar serves on the House Appropriations Committee and as vice chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee. Prior to his election, Cuellar worked as Secretary of State of Texas from 2001 to 2002. He also served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1987 to 2001.
