Harold V. Dutton, Jr. was born in 1950. He attended Kashmere High School in Houston. He served in the Texas House of Representatives in 1984. Since 1985, he has been serving District 142 of the Texas House of Representatives. Dutton has focused on issues concerning children, criminal justice, economic development, and education. He has served as Chair of the Committee on Juvenile Justice and Family Issues. Dutton has also authored legislation including the "Timothy Cole Act" regarding wrongful convictions.read less
