H. Morgan Griffith graduated from the University of Virginia, and earned a law degree from the same institution in 1985. He worked in private legal practice before serving in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1994 to 2000. In 2011, Griffith was elected to the U.S. House to represent Virginia's 9th Congressional District. He has been reelected numerous times and serves on the House Appropriations Committee, the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, and the Rural Development, Agriculture, and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee.read less
