Gina M. Galfetti was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She received her B.A. degree in 1982 from Davidson College and her J.D. in 1987 from the University of Minnesota Law School. Galfetti served in the 34th Infantry Division of the Minnesota Army National Guard, and later became a foreign area officer in the U.S. Army assigned to Latin America and the Caribbean area. She is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Army War College.read less
